Windows Infrastructure Engineer

The Windows Infrastructure Engineer designs, supports, and evolves complex technical solutions that underpin customer-facing products and critical internal systems on our Windows platform. This role focuses on stability, scalability, and innovation, acting as a technical problem-solver, solution designer, and escalation partner across teams.This position delivers value by reducing incident impact, improving system reliability, enabling customer success, and ensuring the organization’s engineered solutions are secure, compliant, and future-ready.Responsibilities:Diagnose and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues, delivering timely and accurate solutions in a collaborative environmentDesign, implement, and support engineered solutions, platform services, and mission critical systemsPartner with customers and internal stakeholders to design solutions that meet functional, technical, and operational requirementsServe as an escalation point for advanced technical issues in alignment with team support policiesContribute technical expertise to cross-functional initiatives and interdepartmental projectsCollaborate with third-party vendors to support and integrate key technologiesDevelop and maintain clear, scalable documentation for systems, products, and engineered solutionsFacilitate knowledge sharing through training, documentation, and informal mentorshipParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement effortsMonitor, maintain, and audit software licensing and system compliance where applicableSupport internal and external audits (e.g., licensing, security, compliance) as requiredStay current on emerging technologies, platforms, and best practices to inform solution design and modernization effortsOther duties as assigned.Requirements:4+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or platform-focused rolesBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experienceAdvanced experience administering and supporting Windows Server environmentsStrong background in identity management, directory services, and authentication systemsExperience supporting database platforms and high-availability or fault-tolerant architecturesProficiency in powershell scripting and automation for systems managementStrong troubleshooting skills across applications, and infrastructure layersExperience with issue tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira or equivalent)Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar)Proven ability to balance customer needs with operational stability and best practicesAbility to work independently on project-based work while collaborating effectively across teamsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearlyPreferred Qualifications:Relevant technical certifications (e.g., systems, cloud, or platform-focused)Experience in infrastructure management; familiarity with setup, maintenance, and auditing of Microsoft-based environments, focusing on AD, DFS, and IISExtremely comfortable with PowerShell scripting and experience with C# to streamline system operationsExperience with Failover Clustering, Availability Groups, Hyper-V, and DPMAdditional experience with other scripting languages, like bash and javascript
