Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Role: Test Automation Architect Location: Chennai What does a successful (Test Automation Architect – Cards and Payments) do at Fiserv? As a successful Test Automation Architect - Cards and Payments, you will be responsible for coming up with the Automation strategy for Merchant Acquiring business. Build out the Automation framework and lead a team of 15 associates, train, and groom them on Test automation. Walkthrough the Automation strategy to the leadership team. Own, drive and execute the automation resulting in Cost savings and benefits for the Merchant Business. Bring in effective reduction of effort through Automation resulting in cost benefits for the end customer. You will be working with Automation architects across the Merchant Acquiring, Issuing and Fintech spaces. Cross pollinates the ideas from the other lines of business into Merchant Acquiring. Guide, mentor the team on the merchant acquiring End to end testing. Providing frequent updates on the status of the Test automation and end to end testing. What you will do: Lead the design, Development, and Automation Framework using technologies like Java/Selenium/BDD/TestNG Have ability to design & build automation frameworks from scratch Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of QA Engineers Should have experience in handling a team of 10 QA Professionals Maintain and enhance the automation framework to ensure scalability and efficiency Participate in technical design, code reviews and root cause analysis to ensure testability and quality Provide regular reports on test automation progress and outcomes Continuously improve test automation processes and stay updated with the latest tools and technologies Involve in design development and execution of automation test scripts Hands on is mandatory for this role What you will need to have: 10+ Years of Strong experience in software testing and automation and with at least 4 years in a lead role providing strategy and thought leadership for Automation Solid hands-on experience in programming languages like Selenium Web Driver Strong working experience in different approaches for UI/API/Mobile Technologies Strong working experience in Database testing using tools like MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL Hands on experience in Version Control tools like GitHub, Bitbucket Good Implementation experience in CICD DevOps Strong experience in automating web applications using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven and Cucumber. Good experience in testing API’s using REST Assured or any other equivalent tool Should possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail Good communication skills to speak with the business partners are essential and non-negotiable for this position Proven leadership and mentoring abilities Create/evaluate testing tools to improve the testing process and product quality.
