English Second Language Teacher

We are looking for a passionate ESL Teacher to guide students in Grades 4-8 as they develop their English skills through the Cambridge International curriculum. This role is about more than teaching language—it’s about helping learners build confidence, independence, and respect for different cultures while preparing them for success in academics and life.ResponsibilitiesTeach English as a Second Language to students in Grades 4-8, focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing.Plan and deliver lessons that follow the Cambridge curriculum while adapting to the needs of diverse learners.Assess students’ language proficiency and design learning plans that support their individual growth.Use creative and interactive strategies—including stories, discussions, activities, and technology—to keep learning engaging.Create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive classroom where students feel supported and encouraged.Track progress through formative and summative assessments, giving students constructive feedback to help them improve.Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress and celebrate achievements.Work with other teachers and school leaders to ensure ESL students succeed both in ESL and mainstream classrooms.Prepare students for Checkpoint exams with skill-building and confidence-building activities.Take part in professional development opportunities to refine teaching methods and stay updated on best practices.Promote cultural awareness, helping students appreciate and respect diversity.Support colleagues with cultural and linguistic sensitivity training where needed.Reflect regularly on teaching practices and student outcomes to continuously improve.Contribute to school events, meetings, and initiatives as an active member of the community.At the heart of this role is the belief that every child can thrive in English with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement.
