Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) Specialist

Role OverviewThe ARO Specialist will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Azure Red Hat OpenShift clusters to support containerized workloads. The role involves ensuring high availability, security, and compliance while optimizing performance and cost in a hybrid cloud environment.Key Responsibilities- Cluster Deployment & Management: Design and implement Azure Red Hat OpenShift clusters, configure networking, storage, and security, manage cluster lifecycle, upgrades, and patching. - Container Platform Operations: Support containerized application deployments using Kubernetes and OpenShift, implement CI/CD pipelines, monitor cluster health and troubleshoot issues. - Security & Compliance: Apply RBAC, network policies, and encryption for secure workloads, ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards (e.g., RBI, PCI DSS for BFSI). - Performance & Cost Optimization: Optimize cluster resources for performance and cost efficiency, implement autoscaling and resource quotas. - Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts using Ansible, PowerShell, or Azure CLI, integrate with Azure services for governance and monitoring.Required Skills- Strong expertise in Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) and Kubernetes. - Hands-on experience with Azure services (Networking, Storage, Identity). - Proficiency in Linux administration, containerization (Docker), and CI/CD tools. - Knowledge of OpenShift Operators, Helm charts, and GitOps. - Familiarity with Azure Policy, Security Center, and compliance frameworks.Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305) and Red Hat OpenShift certification preferred. - Minimum 7 years of experience in cloud and container platform operations.Soft Skills- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. - Ability to work in regulated environments with strict compliance requirements.
