It leads enterprise-wide legal, regulatory, and compliance management, ensuring strong governance and statutory adherence. It oversees all factory-related legal matters, including environmental laws, pollution control, safety norms, and industry regulations across multiple manufacturing units.Key Responsibilities:Establish and lead an integrated Legal & Compliance framework that embeds strong governance, risk management, and ethical standards aligned with Indian and global agrochemical regulations. Ensure end-to-end legal and compliance across multiple manufacturing units,depot, ware houses and Central Office, covering environmental laws, pollution control, industrial safety standards,hazardous storage, labour laws and all factory-related statutory requirements. Drive consistency and rigor in contract management including NDAs, vendor agreements,tolling arrangements, distributor contracts, and technical partnerships ensuring legal robustness and commercial clarity. Oversee all corporate legal matters such as litigation, related party transactions, dispute resolution, arbitration, and IP protection (patents, trademarks), safeguarding the organization’s legal and commercial interests. Harmonize legal documentation, statutory filings, and compliance protocols. Implement structured monitoring, audit, and reporting mechanisms to ensure adherence to statutory, corporate governance, and ESG obligations, including Board-level reporting and internal controls. Advise leadership on legal and governance risks related to product portfolio decisions, dealer (channel partner) arrangements etc. to support compliant and risk-mitigated business growth. Champion compliance programs covering data privacy, anti-bribery, competition law, and industry-specific regulations, aligned with global best practices and channel partner expectations. Strengthen organizational awareness of legal, ethical and compliance standards through structured communication, training programs, and leadership engagement. Build and develop a high-quality Legal & Compliance team with strong capabilities in factory laws, contract management, and corporate governance.Required Skills & Qualifications: 10-15 years’ experience leading legal, regulatory, and compliance functions for agrochemical or related manufacturing businesses, with strong exposure to multi-plant operations, environmental and pollution-control regulations, industrial safety laws, and factory compliance. Experience in managing complex contracts, litigation, and IP matters is preferred. LLB in Law with LLM in Corporate/Commercial/Environmental Law Expertise in factory, environmental, pollution-control, and industrial-safety laws governing multi-site agrochemical manufacturing. Strong capability in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating NDAs, vendor agreements, Import export agreements, distributor contracts, and technical collaboration documents. Proficiency in managing litigation, arbitration, dispute resolution, and IP protection with clear risk-mitigation focus. Ability to design and operationalize monitoring, audit, and reporting systems for statutory, regulatory, and ESG compliance. Skilled in harmonizing legal documentation, contracts, and compliance protocols across manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, and commercial functions. Strength in assessing legal and governance risks associated with product portfolio decisions and channel partner arrangements. Capability to embed ethical standards and regulatory awareness through structured training, communication, and compliance programs. Competence in building and developing specialized legal and compliance talent with deep regulatory and factory-law expertise. Design and implement technology-enabled compliance monitoring, audit trails, and evidence readiness across locations.
