Quality Assurance Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – QA to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software releases through a combination of manual and automated testing practices. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, with a strong focus on test case creation , automation frameworks , and defect management . Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA team members during Agile sprints to define, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies. Design and execute manual and automated test cases based on business and functional requirements. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium with Java and Cucumber BDD . Perform database testing and write complex SQL queries to validate backend data integrity. Maintain and track issues in defect management tools , ensuring timely resolution. Participate in code reviews , sprint planning , and retrospectives to ensure test coverage and quality standards. Utilize GitHub for source control and continuous integration practices. Ensure traceability of tests to requirements using tools like PractiTest or equivalent test management platforms. Stay up to date with evolving testing methodologies and tools to improve test effectiveness. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance . Strong experience in manual testing and ability to think from the end-user perspective. At least 2+years of Experience in test automation using Selenium (Java) and Cucumber BDD framework. Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies . Experience with GitHub for version control. Working knowledge of SQL and experience in database testing . Hands-on experience with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow,). Experience using PractiTest or similar test management tools .( Nice to have) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
