Industrial Designer

Job Purpose: The Assistant Manager - Industrial Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing motorcycle designs from initial ideas to production-ready solutions. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Clay Modelers, Engineers, and Digital Sculptors, to create motorcycles that embody Royal Enfield’s legacy while pushing the boundaries of design. Position Overview: Location: Chennai Position Title: Assistant Manager Reports to: Group Manager - Product Strategy & Industrial Design Function: Product Strategy & Industrial Design What you’ll do: Conduct research, sketch, and visualize innovative motorcycle concepts aligned with Royal Enfield’s design philosophy. Develop motorcycle designs from initial sketches to digital 3D models, ensuring a balance between aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability. Work closely with clay modelers to refine design proportions and surfaces through physical prototypes. Create high-quality 3D models using Blender, Rhino, or Alias to communicate design intent effectively. Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to translate design concepts into feasible production models. Stay updated with motorcycle design trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design innovation. Prepare and present design proposals through high-quality renders, sketches, and presentations. What you'll bring: Experience: 2 - 3 years of experience in motorcycle design, preferably in a two-wheeler or automotive company. Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field. Why work with us?
