PIPING DESIGN LEADER

Job Summary : Piping Design Leader with extensive knowledge and experience in Oil & Gas, Engineering, Petrochemical, and Refinery plants . The candidate should demonstrate proven expertise in executing projects as a Unit Lead or Area Lead across various project phases and services, including Basic Engineering, Conceptual Design, FEED, and PMC . Responsibility : Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry • Be part of PMT client team overseeing EPC contractors. • Oversee Piping Engineering work being carried out for greenfield and brownfield projects as part of the Clients PMT. • Promote effective communication and challenge within the EPC Contractors Engineering team in order to foster the production of safe, cost effective, fit for purpose and constructible Piping designs. • Provide technical leadership and decision making for Piping engineering work carried out by contractors. • To participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary. • To provide technical assistance, direction, and support during the construction and installation activities. • To liaise and report to the Client's Senior Management on Piping Engineering Progress and Issues. Have a better understanding of the contractual terms. • Trouble-shooting the Piping design, identifying and resolving issues with engineering and / or fabricator by raising and resolution of Site / Technical Queries. • To attend daily / weekly engineering progress meetings and generate status reports as required • Management of Change process including review of proposals. • Assist construction personnel with general technical queries and details. • Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees. • Provides resolution for technical Piping engineering problems; coordinates application of solutions. • To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule. Eligibility • Minimum of 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry. • Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an engineering design company. • Demonstrated leadership experience and previous track record of successfully working in PMC / FEED team. • Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
