Role Title: Plant HR / HR Business Partner – ManufacturingLocation: Maraimalai Nagar (Chengalpattu)Experience: 8–15 years (preferred in manufacturing/plant setup)Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Plant HR professional to manage end-to-end HR operations at the manufacturing unit. The role involves handling employee relations, statutory compliance, workforce planning, and Industrial Relations, Union & Legal, ensuring smooth plant operations while aligning with business goals.Key Responsibilities:1. Employee Relations & IR (Industrial Relations)- Manage shopfloor employee relations and maintain a positive work environment - Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution - Coordinate with unions (if applicable) and support negotiations - Drive engagement initiatives for blue-collar workforce2. Statutory Compliance- Ensure compliance with labor laws such as: - Factories Act - PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity - Shops & Establishment (if applicable) - Coordinate audits and maintain statutory records - Liaise with government authorities3. Recruitment & Workforce Planning- Manage hiring for blue-collar and staff roles - Coordinate with contractors/vendors for manpower supply - Plan workforce based on production requirements4. Payroll & Attendance Management- Oversee attendance, shift schedules, and leave records - Support payroll inputs (overtime, incentives, etc.) - Ensure accuracy in wage processing5. Performance & Training- Drive performance management process for plant employees - Identify training needs and coordinate L&D programs - Conduct induction and onboarding for new hires6. HR Operations- Maintain employee records and HRMIS systems - Implement HR policies and processes - Support audits, reporting, and documentationRequired Skills & Competencies- Strong knowledge of labor laws & statutory compliance. - Experience in industrial relations (IR) and union handling - Exposure to manufacturing/plant HR operations - Good stakeholder management skills - Ability to handle blue-collar workforce - Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsPreferred Qualifications- MBA/MSW in HR or equivalent.Experience in Manufacturing, heavy engineering, FMCG, or similar industries
