Position - Fuel Incharge/ Fuel Supervisor Location: Durgapur (1 person) Department: Fuel Management Reporting To: Project In-ChargeKey ResponsibilitiesA. Fuel Forecasting & Planning·Prepare daily, weekly, and monthlyfuel requirement forecastsbased on equipment deployment schedules, production targets, and historical consumption. ·Coordinate with Project In-Charge and Procurement& Stores Manager for vendor indenting and supply planning. ·Maintain reorder levels, safety stock, and track lead time for deliveries.B. Fuel Receipt & Quality Control·Receive and verify incoming fuel supplies as per purchase order and delivery challan. ·Conductdip measurement, density, and temperature testsat the time of receipt. ·Verify quantity and quality against supplier documents; record shortages or variances. ·PrepareGoods Receipt Note (GRN)andDelivery Discrepancy Note (DDN)and submit test records to Project Manager and HO. ·Supervise unloading and ensure proper transfer into designated storage tankers with safety precautions.C. Fuel Storage & Safety·Maintain calibratedfuel tanks, meters, and nozzles , ensuring zero leakage and contamination. ·Enforce fire safety protocols, signage, grounding, and illumination at fuel stations. ·Conduct periodic maintenance of dispensing systems and coordinate with maintenance for repairs. ·Ensure availability of spill kits, sand buckets, and extinguishers at all times. D. Fuel Issuance & Control·GenerateFuel Issue Slipsand record each transaction inFuel Issue Register / Vehicle Log , capturing equipment ID, operator name, shift, and litres issued. ·Cross-verify issue quantity withdip readingsbefore and after each shift. ·Prevent unauthorised withdrawals; maintain custody of nozzles, dispensers and logbook.E. Documentation & Reporting·Maintain and update the following records: oFuel Stock / Dip Register(daily opening, receipts, issues, closing balance, variance) for each tanker and/or UG tank oFuel Issue Slips(operator and issuer signature) oGRNs, Density & Temperature Logs , andDelivery Challans oDaily Fuel Summary Reportfor MIS submission ·Prepareweekly and monthly fuel consumption reports(equipment-wise, department-wise). ·Highlight abnormal consumption, leakage, or variance above tolerance limits to Project In-charge and HO.F. Compliance·Support internal and external audits by maintaining updated registers and test records. ·Ensure all operations comply with safety, environmental, PESO and DGMS guidelines. ·Conduct training for operators and helpers on proper refuelling discipline.Education Graduate (Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial) or equivalent technical qualification. Experience Minimum5–10 yearsin fuel operations or stores management in mining, construction, or logistics sectors. Prior HEMM site experience preferred. Technical Skills Knowledge of tank calibration, dip measurement, density testing, fuel slip system, and reconciliation procedures. Basic computer literacy (Excel / MIS entry). Other Requirements Willingness to work in shifts, field environments, and remote project locations. Must have knowledge of fire safety and spill management.
