Steward (Waiter)

The Steward/Waiter is responsible for providing excellent guest service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and a guest-oriented attitude. Key Responsibilities Greet guests courteously and present menus in a professional manner. Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar. Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to service standards. Ensure tables are clean, well-set, and properly maintained before, during, and after service. Assist guests with menu choices, upsell specials, and suggest pairings. Refill water, beverages, and attend to guest needs throughout the meal. Clear used plates, glasses, and utensils efficiently and reset tables for the next guests. Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards at all times. Handle guest complaints politely and escalate to supervisor if necessary. Support other team members and perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors. Requirements High School/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent. Prior experience as a Steward/Waiter in a hotel, restaurant, or catering service preferred. Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures. Good communication skills and a professional appearance. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
