JOB DESCRIPTION Position Name: CPP Maintenance EngineerPosition Code: CPP - 303Department: Captive Power Plant (CPP)Sub-Department: Mechanical MaintenanceGrade: F1/F2Reporting to: CPP Maintenance Manager Role Objective: To ensure the reliable and efficient operation of mechanical systems in the Captive Power Plant through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, supporting plant performance, safety, and sustainability. Role Responsibilities: Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for turbines, boilers, compressors, and auxiliary systems. Conduct equipment condition monitoring using techniques like vibration analysis, thermography, and oil testing. Perform fault diagnosis and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Plan and coordinate maintenance shutdowns, overhauls, and emergency repairs. Manage spares inventory, ensuring availability of critical mechanical components. Maintain detailed documentation of all maintenance activities and equipment performance. Prepare reports and assist in tracking KPIs for reliability and maintenance efficiency. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and statutory regulations. Collaborate with vendors for external maintenance services and monitor service quality. Promote and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment,free from all forms of harassment and discrimination. ISO (9001, 14001, 45001 & Ensure adherence to integrated management systems related to quality, environment, occupational health & safety, and energy. Support audits and implement system improvements. Emphasis on customer focus Ensure all operations and maintenance activities are aligned with customer expectations and statutory/regulatory requirements. Responsibilities related to process effectiveness and efficiency Enhance plant uptime, reduce operational costs, and continuously improve maintenance strategies. Contribution to OH&S objectives Implement and monitor health and safety practices. Ensure incident reporting, hazard identification, and corrective action implementation. Responsibilities related to environmental aspects and impacts Identify, control, and mitigate environmental risks. Ensure compliance with environmental obligations and promote pollution prevention. Contribution to environmental objectives and targets Support sustainability initiatives and contribute to achieving site-wide environmental goals. Understand and comply with the organization's Energy Policy Continuously seek energy-saving opportunities, optimize operational energy usage, and support energy performance initiatives. Competencies: Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Reliability-Centered Maintenance Fault Analysis and Resolution ISO and Safety Standards Compliance Planning and Scheduling Key Skills: CHP / Turbine / Boiler Maintenance Condition Monitoring Techniques CMMS or SAP Maintenance Module Maintenance Documentation Vendor Coordination Abilities: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly Plan and execute shutdowns effectively Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams Work under pressure during emergencies Analyze data for performance improvement Knowledge: Mechanical systems in power plants Preventive & predictive maintenance tools BOE norms (preferred) Energy conservation techniques Factory Act and EHS compliance Interested Candidates can share their Resumes
