Job Description:
The KST Supervisor is responsible for overseeing kitchen stewarding operations, including cleanliness, hygiene, dishwashing, and maintenance of kitchen equipment. The role ensures compliance with food safety standards, smooth workflow between kitchen and service staff, and efficient management of stewarding staff. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen stewarding staff. Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and working areas. Maintain hygiene standards as per HACCP/FSSAI guidelines. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and stewarding equipment. Train stewarding staff on cleaning techniques, hygiene, and safety standards. Ensure garbage segregation and proper waste disposal. Oversee maintenance and preventive care of dishwashing machines and equipment. Support chefs and service team by ensuring timely availability of clean utensils, crockery, and cutlery. Schedule staff shifts and monitor attendance and performance. Maintain records and reports related to stewarding operations. Assist management in implementing cost-control measures and minimizing breakages. Requirements: Proven experience as a Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor in hotels, resorts, or large F&B operations. Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and cleaning procedures. Ability to handle dishwashing equipment and cleaning chemicals safely. Good leadership, communication, and team management skills. Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
