The ideal candidate has experience covering or working within political campaigns and can translate complex political issues into clear, engaging, and impactful content for digital audiences.This role sits at the intersection of journalism and campaign communication requiring speed, accuracy, and strong editorial judgment in a fast-moving political environment.Key Responsibilities1. Political Content Writing & StorytellingResearch and write high-quality content including articles, explainers, opinion pieces, scripts, and social media copySimplify complex policy issues, legislative developments, and political narratives for mass audiencesDevelop compelling story angles aligned with campaign messaging and current affairs2. Research & Fact-CheckingConduct in-depth research on political developments, policies, opposition narratives, and public discourseEnsure all content is factually accurate, well-sourced, and credibleWork closely with research teams to validate claims and counter misinformation3. Campaign Narrative SupportAlign content with broader campaign strategies and messaging prioritiesIdentify opportunities to shape public discourse through timely contentContribute to building a consistent and persuasive political narrative4. Rapid Response & News Cycle CoverageTrack daily news, social media trends, and political developmentsProduce quick-turnaround content in response to breaking newsAssist in “war room” environments during high-intensity campaign periods5. Multi-Platform Content AdaptationAdapt long-form content into short-form formats (threads, captions, scripts, reels, etc.)Write for multiple platforms including websites, social media, emailers, and video scriptsEnsure tone and style are tailored to platform and audience6.
