Position Summary: The Dean of the School of Psychology will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight for all academic, research, and service activities within the school. The Dean will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the school, promoting excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.Key Responsibilities: ●Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the School of Psychology and Counseling, aligning with the university’s overall mission and goals.●Academic Excellence: Oversee curriculum development, academic programs, and accreditation processes to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.●Faculty Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain a diverse and highly qualified faculty. Promote faculty research, scholarship, and professional development.●Research and Innovation: Encourage and support cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary collaboration within the fields of psychology and counseling. Secure funding and resources to enhance research initiatives.●Student Success: Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Develop initiatives to enhance student engagement, retention, and success in both undergraduate and graduate programs.Qualifications: ● A doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field is required. ● At least 15 years of academic experience in higher education, with a track record of leadership. ● A distinguished record of research, scholarship, and professional contributions to the field of psychology or counseling.
