The Library Teacher will collaboratively plan and deliver a resource-based learning program that integrates information literacy, digital citizenship, and research skills into the IB curriculum. Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver a library curriculum that fosters a love for reading and inquiry-based learning.Teach Approaches to Learning (AtL) skills, specifically focusing on research, critical thinking, and self-management.Partner with coordinators to ensure the library collection supports the diverse linguistic and cultural needs of the student body.Curate and manage a diverse collection of print and digital resources, aligned with IB principles.Oversee daily library operations, including cataloging, circulation, and budget management.Deliver engaging storytelling and /"read-aloud/" sessions to foster a lifelong love of reading.Organize the collection to be accessible to young children (e.g., front-facing picture books, genre-based /"neighborhoods/").Maintain flexible zones for quiet reading, collaborative group work, and /"maker/" activities that spark curiosity.QualificationsProficiency in Lesson Planning and delivering well-structured academic resourcesStrong foundation in Education and Teaching methodologies with experience in IB curriculum preferredExcellent Communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and facultyExperience in Training and guiding students and staff in educational and library functionsPassion for fostering a love for books and research in school studentsBachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Library Science, or a related field
