Senior Accountant

CTC - 5,00,000 - 6,00,000 per annum (negotiable)The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure clean books, and support management with accurate financial reporting. This is a critical role in maintaining financial discipline and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Accounting & BookkeepingMaintain all accounting entries in Tally Prime (or relevant ERP).Record purchase, sales, contra, payment, journal, and receipt entries.Manage daily cash, bank reconciliations, and ensure zero discrepancies.Track gold, diamond & inventory-related transactions with accuracyReconcile stock differences between ERP and physical inventoryTaxation & CompliancePrepare GST workings and reconcile GSTR 2A/2B.Assist in filing monthly GST returns.TDS calculation and ensuring timely payments & returns.Work with external auditors during internal/external audits.Financial ReportingPrepare P&L, balance sheet schedules, and monthly MIS.Support management with financial analysis when required.Maintain vendor & customer ledgers with proper ageing reports.Payments & Vendor ManagementProcess vendor payments after verification.Track outstanding payments & follow up for pending invoices.Maintain petty cash with complete documentation.Internal Controls & Process DisciplineEnsure proper documentation: invoices, purchase orders, GRNs, job cards.Strengthen financial controls to reduce leakages and improve accuracy.Support the implementation of new ERP modules (such as Irys integration).Requirements2–6 years of accounting experience.Experience in jewellery/retail/manufacturing preferred (not mandatory but a strong plus).Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, reconciliation, and inventory accounting.Proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel; ERP knowledge is an advantage.High integrity, attention to detail, and reliability.Ability to work in a fast-paced and premium-client environment.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Work with a respected luxury jewellery brand in Chandigarh.Professional growth across finance, audit, costing, and ERP systems.A culture that values precision, trust, and long-term careers.
