Job TitleArea Sales Executive – GT1Location: Hubli, KarnatakaReports to: Area Sales Manager / Regional Sales HeadKey Objectives- Achieve GT1 sales targets in the assigned territory - Expand market share through channel & trade development - Maintain and grow existing customer relationshipsKey Responsibilities- Sales & Target Achievement- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, annual sales targets for GT1 (general trade) ● Monitor sales numbers and take corrective action when targets are not being met. - Prepare sales forecasts, and sales plans for assigned area.- Channel & Distributor Management- Identify, onboard, and manage distributors / sub-distributors within the territory. - Ensure proper service levels from distributors (stock availability, timely delivery, order accuracy). - Maintain strong relationships with trade customers (kiranas, general stores, etc.).- Customer Coverage & Market Penetration- Develop beat plans / route plans to ensure good coverage of outlets. - Identify new outlets & potential trade points and open them. - Conduct regular visits to outlets and distributors, ensuring product visibility, merchandising, displays, and planogram compliance.- Trade Promotions & Visibility- Execute trade / dealer promotions, schemes, offers as per company policy. - Ensure in-store visibility through merchandising, signage, POS materials, etc. - Keep eye on competitor activities (product launches, offers, pricing) and report.- Reporting & MIS- Maintain daily/weekly/monthly reports for sales, visits, orders, collections, competitor data, etc. - Use CRM / sales tools to update leads, opportunities, customer feedback, etc.- Customer Service & Feedback- Handle customer complaints / issues in the trade channel promptly. - Ensure stock fulfillment and follow-up delivery & payment collection.- Team / Stakeholder Coordination- Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, finance for smooth operations. - Work closely with the area sales manager for strategy, feedback, market insights.
