Project Engineer – Residential Interiors

We combine strong execution systems, modern design thinking, and tech-enabled workflows to deliver predictable, high-quality interiors with minimal client stress.Role OverviewAs a Project Engineer, you are execution-focused, not ownership-heavy.- You execute plans, ensure site readiness, quality, and coordination - You report to the Project Manager / Senior PM - You are the bridge between drawings and site realityThis role is ideal for someone strong on-site, technically sound, and process-driven.Key Responsibilities Site Execution & Coordination- Execute interior works as per approved drawings and schedules - Coordinate daily activities of carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, and installers - Ensure correct sequencing of work (civil → MEP → carpentry → finishing)MEP & Technical Supervision- Supervise Electrical, Plumbing, and basic HVAC/False ceiling coordination - Ensure services are aligned with design drawings before closures - Identify clashes early and escalate to Project Manager/design teamQuality & Measurement Control- Check workmanship quality against Rao Space standards - Take site measurements and verify before production/installation - Ensure materials used match approved specificationsProgress Tracking & Reporting- Update daily/weekly site progress to the Project Manager - Flag delays, risks, or dependency issues early - Maintain basic site documentation (photos, checklists, snag lists)Vendor & Team Coordination- Coordinate with factory teams, delivery teams, and vendors - Support installation planning and on-site execution - Ensure material readiness before site work beginsSafety & Site Discipline- Ensure basic site safety practices are followed - Maintain site cleanliness and professional conduct - Adhere to apartment association/site rulesWhat You BringExperience & Skills- 1+ year experience in residential interior execution - Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in MEP coordination (Must-have) - Practical understanding of carpentry, finishes, and modular installations - Ability to read and interpret interior drawingsLanguage- Kannada proficiency: Conversational (Must-have) - English/Hindi: Basic working levelPersonal Traits- Strong site discipline and follow-through - Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset - Comfortable working under a Project Manager's direction - Willingness to learn systems, checklists, and standard processesWhy Join Rao Space?- Structured execution systems - Exposure to premium residential interiors - Clear growth path → Senior Project Engineer → Project Manager - Learning-focused culture with modern tools and processes
