The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience withAzure Synapse AnalyticsandMicrosoft Fabric , including migration from Synapse to Fabric. You will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and modernizing large-scale data pipelines that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines usingAzure Synapse Analytics(Pipelines, SQL Pools, Spark Notebooks). Lead and executeAzure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric migration , including: OneLake Lakehouse / Fabric Data Warehouse Dataflows Gen2 Fabric Pipelines Refactor and optimizeSQL and Spark/PySpark workloadsfor Microsoft Fabric. Implement secure data access by integratingAzure Key Vaultfor secrets management. Develop and optimizePower BI semantic models and datasetsfor performance and scalability. PerformT-SQL performance tuningand Spark optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams usingGit-based version controland CI/CD pipelines. Create and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts. Participate in client discussions and provide technical guidance and best practices.Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ yearsof overall experience inData Engineering / Big Data . 2+ yearsof hands-on experience withAzure Synapse Analytics . Provenhands-on project experience with Microsoft Fabric . Strong proficiency inSQL, T-SQL, Python, and PySpark . Solid understanding ofdistributed systems and Spark performance tuning . Experience working withstructured, semi-structured, and unstructured data . Hands-on experience with cloud platforms:Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP . Familiarity withDevOps practices , including: Git CI/CD pipelines Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Nice to Have: Direct experience inAzure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric migration projects . Power BI performance optimization and enterprise semantic model design. Client-facing project experience.Behavioral & Soft Skills: Ability to thrive in afast-paced, client-facing environment .
