The Assistant Manager, Legal, will be part of this centralized team, assisting in legal operations for CACTUS and its overseas entities. Please note that candidates based in Mumbai are preferred.ResponsibilitiesContract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize business contracts (MSAs, vendor agreements, NDAs, lease deeds, etc.) and optimize contract processes using technology.Legal Advisory & Risk Management: Provide actionable legal advice, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies for business initiatives.Compliance & Policy: Develop and monitor corporate policies, ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, and stay updated on legislative changes.Data Privacy: Ensure compliance with global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR) and standardize data handling practices.Freelancer/Contractor Management: Standardize agreements and policies for freelancers and independent contractors.Intellectual Property: Manage IP protection, enforcement, and filings; draft IP-related clauses and notices.Dispute Resolution: Handle legal notices, pre-litigation matters, and coordinate with external counsel for litigation.Legal Research: Conduct research on cross-border regulations and emerging legal topics; prepare concise memos.Operational Excellence: Build templates, trackers, and dashboards to streamline legal processes.Qualifications and PrerequisitesEducation: Bachelor of Law (LLB)Experience: 7–9 years in corporate legal roles with expertise in contract management, data privacy and compliance.Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skillsExperience in international corporate and contractual lawsAbility to simplify legal concepts for non-legal teams and document processesExcellent stakeholder management and communicationAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentApplication ProcessBefore applying, please ensure you meet the role requirements listed above and have legal authorization to work in the country where this role is advertised.
