Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for an experiencedSenior Mechanical Design Engineerwith5–7 years of experience in control panel enclosure and mechanical design . The candidate will be responsible for designing control panel enclosures, sheet metal components, and supporting manufacturing processes. The role requires expertise in mechanical design, thermal management, and structural considerations for electrical panels. Key Responsibilities Designcontrol panel enclosures, cabinets, and sheet metal partsfor electrical and automation panels. PrepareGA drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings . Developpanel layouts and internal mechanical arrangementsfor electrical components. Ensure properventilation, thermal management, and structural strengthin panel designs. Select suitablematerials, sheet metal thickness, and hardware components . Coordinate withelectrical design engineersto ensure proper component placement and wiring space. Work closely withproduction and fabrication teamsto support manufacturing activities. Review customer specifications and preparetechnical documentation and design calculations . Supportprototype development, testing, and design improvements . Ensure compliance withindustry standards such as IEC and IP protection ratings . Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge ofsheet metal design and fabrication processes Experience incontrol panel enclosure design and layout Understanding ofIP ratings, ventilation, heat dissipation, and structural design Knowledge ofmanufacturing processes such as bending, punching, welding, and powder coating Ability to interpretelectrical layouts and integrate mechanical designs accordingly Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and cross-functional coordination abilities Software Skills SolidWorksorAutodesk Inventorfor 3D mechanical design AutoCADfor fabrication and layout drawings Familiarity withsheet metal design modules in CAD software Education Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Experience 5–7 years of experience in mechanical design , preferably incontrol panel manufacturing, switchgear, or industrial enclosures .
