Overview: We are seeking a QA Engineer with 2+ years of experience in both Manual and Automation testing to join our remote team in India. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and executing comprehensive test strategies using both manual and automated approaches. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to proactively identify issues and ensure seamless product delivery. This role involves working with U.S.-based clients, so some overlap in working hours is expected for effective communication and alignment. The ideal candidate is passionate about test automation, quality assurance, and eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts. Perform functional, regression, exploratory, usability, and automated testing across web and mobile applications. Debug and troubleshoot issues found during testing and collaborate with developers to resolve them efficiently. Use tools like JIRA to ensure that defects are accurately identified, documented, and tracked. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, testing, and release validation. Communicate effectively with U.S.-based clients, ensuring timely updates and alignment. Provide detailed test reports, metrics, and documentation to stakeholders. Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, and adapt to new testing methodologies and tools. Desired Skills: Manual Testing: Strong experience in functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing. Automation Testing: Practical experience with tools like Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Cucumber, or similar frameworks. API Testing: Familiarity with REST Assured, Postman or similar tools. API Load Testing: Jmeter, Ab or similar tools. Defect Tracking: Proficient with tools like JIRA for issue tracking and reporting. Test Documentation: Ability to create and manage clear, detailed test cases, plans, and reports. Environment Knowledge: Comfortable working with both Linux and Windows operating systems. Database & API Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL and API request/response structures for validation. Version Control: Familiarity with Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket. Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with global teams. Nice to Have: Experience in mobile automation testing for Android, iOS, or cross-platform applications. Working knowledge of CI tools such as Jenkins. Exposure to cloud testing platforms or performance testing tools. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation testing. Experience working with U.S.-based clients and accommodating overlapping working hours. Knowledge of testing web and mobile applications across various platforms.
