Freelance Embedded Engineer

Looking for a Freelance Embedded Engineer to join a team of rockstar developers. The candidate should have a minimum of 10+ yrs. of experience.There are multiple openings. We have offices in Florida & New Delhi. Our clientele spreads across the US, Australia & APAC. To give you a sense of our growth rate, we've added 70+ employees in the last 6 weeks itself and expect another 125+ by the end of Q4 2025.Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain embedded applications using C on Linux platforms.Implement and manage build systems using CMAKE.Integrate and optimize communication protocols such as MQTT, MODBUS, and JSON-based APIs.Work on JWT authentication and security implementation for IoT/connected systems.Collaborate with hardware and system engineering teams to design solutions for Energy, EV, Solar, or Battery management applications.Debug, optimize, and maintain code for performance and reliability.Document design specifications, code, and test plans.Required Skills & Experience:10+ years of experience in embedded systems/software development.Strong proficiency in C programming on Linux.Experience with CMAKE build systems.Hands-on experience with MQTT, MODBUS, JSON, and JWT.Solid understanding of IoT communication protocols.Domain knowledge in Energy, EV, Solar, or Battery management systems.Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Good to Have:Exposure to RTOS, edge computing, or IoT gateway development.Familiarity with Python or shell scripting for automation/testing.Experience with device security and cloud integration.What we need-~35 hours of work per week.-100% remote from our side-You will be paid out every month.-Please apply only if you have a 100% remote job currently-If you do well, this will continue for a long time
