Senior Network Engineer

About the Role Working knowledge of Cisco networking products, including Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series switches. Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, including Panorama, GlobalProtect client VPN, URL filtering, and rule implementation. Responsibilities Exposure to Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN); Prisma SD-WAN (preferred), deployed globally. Working knowledge of IP protocols, wireless network standards (802.11x), Layer 2 switching, STP, and a basic understanding of BGP. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot network problems. Experience with diagramming tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, etc. Familiarity with ITIL processes and adherence to change management practices. Ability to interact with local and regional carriers to troubleshoot and deliver services. Working knowledge of ITSM platforms, with the ability to self-manage a ticket queue and provide solutions or resolutions to diverse networking issues. Proactively monitor and manage network solutions to identify areas for improvement in configuration or deployment methodology. Contribute to the development, testing, distribution, and documentation of networking technologies and solutions, and conduct training or handover of engineered solutions to operational support. Troubleshoot and demonstrate problem-solving skills in identifying the root causes of business performance and execution issues through process and data analysis. Escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner to the team lead for support, approval, and/or resolution.
