SQL Database Administrator

Role : Database Administrator Job Location : Bangalore Job Type : Contract Job Description: · 5 years previous experience in a complex corporate IT infrastructure role is essential. · 5 years previous experience in a Senior Database Administrator role is essential. · 2 years previous experience of supporting failover clustering, SAN replication, Database Replication (Snapshot and Transactional), SQL High Availability technologies, Analysis Services, Integration Services and Reporting Services is essential. · 2 years previous experience of performance tuning and management specifically related to SQL Server is essential. · 1 years of troubleshooting and writing complex queries · 3 years of previous experience supporting other critical technologies is desirable: MS Exchange, Active Directory, Operating System (MS Server & Citrix hosting) AV Protection, Monitoring and configuration Systems (SQL Monitor, SCOM, SCCMgoo), Virtualisation (VMware), Storage (HP Sans) and Support, IT Security (Websense, F5, and Dell Secureworks etc.) and Web Infrastructure. · Knowledge with Red gate SQL Monitor and Redgate SQL Backup is essential. · 2 years previous experience working within a financial services organisation is essential. · Previous experience of Data/DevOps including continuous integration is desirable · Previous experience of migrating between versions of SQL Server. · Experience of providing 24/7 production and development support for business critical applications and servers is essential.
