Role: Payroll Manager Experience: 13+ years Location: Bangalore Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 13+ years of experience in payroll management, with at least 7 years handling large-scale payrolls (5000+ employees) Strong knowledge of Indian income tax laws, PF, ESI, Gratuity, and other statutory regulations. Experience with third-party payroll compliance tools and vendors. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification would be a advantage. Skills & Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Operations: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for over 5000 employees across multiple locations. Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of salaries, bonuses, and other compensation. Oversee payroll schedules including weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cycles. Income Tax & Statutory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local income tax regulations. File and manage payroll tax returns, including TDS, PF, ESI, PT, and other statutory filings. Liaise with government agencies and auditors for statutory audits and inspections. Maintain accurate records for tax filings and statutory contributions. System & Process Management: Implement and maintain payroll systems and software (e.g., SAP, ADP, Employee Central). Lead system upgrades and automation initiatives to improve payroll efficiency. Collaborate with IT and HR teams to ensure data integrity and security. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of payroll specialists and compliance officers. Conduct training sessions on payroll policies and statutory updates. Set performance goals and monitor KPIs for payroll operations. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present payroll reports to senior management. Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Support financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
