About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our Supply Chain Management Team as Pharmacy Head . This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless pharmacy operations, from procurement and inventory management to compliance and patient service, thereby supporting the hospital’s commitment to quality care and operational efficiency. Role: Unit Pharmacy Head Location: Bangalore Department: Supply Chain Management What You’ll Do: Oversee end-to-end pharmacy operations including planning, procurement, inventory control, storage, and distribution. Implement and ensure adherence to SOPs and compliance with statutory licensing and certification requirements. Maintain robust inventory management to ensure zero stockouts, minimal expiries, and optimal stock levels. Coordinate with physicians, consultants, and management to ensure pharmacy supports clinical needs effectively. Review and approve procurement activities in line with the hospital formulary and budget guidelines. Manage vendor relationships, evaluate performance, and drive timely issue resolution. Ensure proper storage of medicines including cold chain, high-alert, narcotic, and LASA drugs. Monitor and resolve bounce drug prescriptions, ensuring timely IP/OP transactions. Lead Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee (PTC) meetings, ensuring actionable outcomes. Monitor and report on open PRs/POs, service levels, and inventory hygiene through regular MIS. Drive cost optimization while maintaining quality and service levels. Facilitate periodic training programs for pharmacy staff and develop future leaders within the team. Ensure audit readiness and compliance for both internal and external audits. Handle escalations from internal stakeholders and patients related to pharmacy services. What We’re Looking For: Education: M. Pharmacy / B. Pharmacy Experience: Minimum 8 years in hospital pharmacy operations, procurement, and inventory management. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, storage protocols, and hospital formulary management. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and hospital information systems. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. High ethical standards, professionalism, and commitment to compliance. Analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills.
