Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Shell Recharge Solutions is seeking aSenior Site Reliability Engineer! We are excited to find a highly engaged engineer who is obsessed with technology that wants to be a part of a “world class” platform SRE team. Shell Recharge Solutions engineers must possess an "automation first" mindset, with a relentless focus on documentation, quality, scalability, and reliability using Infrastructure as Code tools. This position will be part of a platform team that is developing exciting products and solutions and playing a key part in driving forward the electrification of transportation.What you’ll do: Ensuresystem reliability, uptime, and performanceof global platform. Apply automation to reduce manual effort, eliminate operational toil, and improve efficiency. Design and implementmonitoring, alerting, and observability systemsto detect and resolve issues proactively. Collaborate withdevelopment and operations (L1) teamsto build scalable and resilient systems. Contribute toincident response, root-cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews , driving continuous improvement. Implement and refineInfrastructure as Code (IaC)and CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments. Enhancedisaster recovery and business continuitycapabilities to ensure uptime SLAs are met. Participate incapacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization . Integratesecurity and compliance best practicesinto all infrastructure operations. Support therelease process , ensuring safe and efficient production deployments. Stay current with emergingSRE tools, frameworks, and cloud technologiesto continuously improve reliability practices. Participate in and leadon-call rotations and incident response , conducting detailed postmortems and RCA reports. Flexible to resolveblocking issuesduring off hours or weekends if required.What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications and skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 7+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a DevOps/Infrastructure role. Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Proficiency in Linux administration, networking, and system security. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and principles. Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar. Expertise withmonitoring and observability tools(Dynatrace,Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, etc.). Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) andAWS native services(EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda). Knowledge ofincident managementand on-call best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. Relevant certifications (AWS, Kubernetes, or SRE-related) are a plus Note : This role involves managing infrastructure for a global platform operating in over ten countries, requiring effective communication and collbaration across regions. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with availability and flexibility to resolve blocking issues, are essential to support On-call Engineers and L1 support teams.
