As we continue to grow our platform and customer footprint, we are looking for aSenior Director of Engineeringto lead large, distributed engineering teams and drive execution across multiple product lines.Role Overview The Senior Director of Engineering will providestrategic and operational leadershipacross Mitigata’s engineering organization. This role is responsible fordelivery excellence, platform scalability, security-by-design, and engineering culture , while partnering closely with Product, Security, AI, and Customer teams. You will manage multiple engineering leaders, influence architecture decisions, and ensure Mitigata’s technology roadmap is delivered with high quality and velocity.Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership & Delivery Lead and scale multi-disciplinary engineering teams across backend, frontend, platform, cloud, and security engineering. Own engineering execution across multiple products and services, ensuring predictable delivery and high reliability. Establish engineering OKRs, metrics, and governance aligned with business goals. Architecture & Platform Scalability Partner with architects and senior engineers on system design forhigh-scale, high-availability, and secure platforms . Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and API-first design. Ensure platforms meet enterprise-grade security, performance, and compliance standards. Cross - Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product Management to translate roadmaps into executable plans. Collaborate with AI, Security Research, and SOC teams to operationalize advanced security capabilities. Support customer escalations, executive reviews, and strategic accounts when required. Engineering Culture & Talent Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, and continuous improvement. Hire, mentor, and develop senior engineering managers and technical leaders. Drive best practices in Agile delivery, DevSecOps, and operational excellence.Required Qualifications 15–20+ years of experience in software engineering, with7–10+ years in senior engineering leadership roles . Proven experience leading large engineering teams inSaaS, platform, or cybersecurity environments . Strong understanding ofcloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)and distributed systems. Experience with secure software development, reliability engineering, and large-scale production systems. Ability to balance hands-on technical depth with executive-level decision-making. Preferred Qualifications Experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, SOC platforms, or resilience engineering. Exposure to AI/ML-enabled platforms and data-driven systems. Prior experience in high-growth startups or scaling engineering organizations.
