Engineering Manager

About the Role We’re looking for anEngineering Managerto lead a small but critical team responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining the technology that powers our online crowdfunding platform. You’ll work closely with the product team and other stakeholders, and will be responsible not just for delivery, but for ensuring the long-term quality and reliability of our systems. This role is ideal for someone who wants to stay deeply hands-on while also growing into a strong people and execution leader. Responsibilities Lead engineering executionacross product development, QA, and infrastructure Design, review, and implementhigh-quality software systems and reliable architecture Mentor and managea team of 3–5 engineers—ensuring technical excellence and personal growth Own the engineering roadmapin collaboration with product and business stakeholders Ensure system reliabilitythrough good dev practices, testing, and monitoring Champion best practicesin software engineering, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure Communicate effectivelyacross functions—product, operations, and designRequirements 7–10 yearsof experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role Proven ability towrite and review high-quality codein one or more modern languages Strong understanding ofsystem design, databases, API development , andcloud infrastructure(e.g., AWS, GCP, etc.) Familiarity withDevOps practicesand setting up observability tools Ability toleverage AI toolsto enhance efficiency and quality in software development and delivery Ability towork with give.do’s existing tech stack —Node.js, MongoDB, React.js, TypeScript, and AWS. Prior experience in each is not mandatory, but you should be comfortable picking it up quickly. Experience managingend-to-end product cyclesincluding planning, execution, testing, and deployment Comfort withcross-functional collaboration High degree ofownership and autonomy —you can drive projects independently and take accountability
