Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Test Engineer specialising in Power Electronics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing, validating, and troubleshooting hardware components for power electronics systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute test plans and test cases for power electronics products (UPS systems, chargers, adapters, smart power devices). • Perform functional, reliability, performance, and stress testing on prototypes and production units. • Build automation frameworks in Python for regression, system validation, and long-duration tests. • Automate data collection, logging, and analysis for power quality, thermal behaviour, and battery performance. • Validate firmware–hardware integration, including edge cases and fault scenarios. • Conduct compliance pre-checks (safety, EMI/EMC, surge protection) and support certification testing. • Own the test infrastructure – equipment setup, calibration, automation rigs. • Document defects clearly, work with engineers to reproduce/debug issues, and drive resolutions. • Ensure products meet quality, reliability, and certification standards before release. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field - Around 4+ years of experience in hardware testing for power electronics. - Hands-on experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, power analysers, and multimeters . - Strong understanding of power electronics principles, including switching devices, circuit design, and thermal management. - Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages is a must. - Knowledge of testing processes and tools like Jira. - Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in power electronics.
