Position Title : Senior Engineer Cloud Job Description : Roles & responsibilities : Interfaces with key technical managers, developers, and engineers in order to understand the technology requested and the business complexities as they relate to IT requirements. Work closely with IT management and staff to identify solutions for specific technical capabilities that will service the IT department at an enterprise level. Participate in Proof of Technology (POT) and Proof of Concept (POC) to help identify the right solution, and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution. Provide inputs to the RFP process to help with the product selection process. Support and uphold Architecture/Design standards. Conduct, and coordinate the analysis, design and planning for the implementation of solutions in the applicable domains. Assure quality, security and compliance requirement are met for supported area and oversees updating of a technology roadmap. Keep abreast of new hardware and software developments, evaluate alternative approaches and recommend new software or modifications which enhance operations and development activities. Have general understanding of business functionalities and requirements, and translate those into how the solution is to be designed and implemented. Perform hands-on engineering responsibilities as needed, and document the procedures/instructions for other team members to follow. Strong understanding of agile and can decompose features into user stories with proper descriptions, acceptance criteria, sizing, steps and dependencies and can execute stories with ease. Identify opportunities and develop scripts to automate the engineering tasks where possible to minimize the manual work and to produce high quality and consistent work. Provide guidance and assistance to the staff in validating product features and releases and in fine-tuning of existing systems software. Lead self and provides technical leadership on projects. Foster teamwork and manage multiple delivery work streams. Experience Required : Specialized knowledge of Cloud. 5+ years professional experience as Cloud Platform or DevOps. Specialized knowledge of Infrastructure as a code, programming, cloud automation and applying them with consistency. Specialized knowledge of more than one technology domains with proficiency in multiple products and technologies. Specialized knowledge of industry leading solutions and technologies in the applicable domain. Specialized knowledge of specific infrastructure capabilities, operating systems, middleware/integration tools/software, and/or database management systems. Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques with attention to detail. Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. Strong ability to understand client and management expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization. Strong ability to mentor, coach and train other engineers. Highly motivated, self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products. Ability to distribute tasks between the team members and coordinate the tasks towards successful completion.
