Opportunity for Exterior Trims Design Engineer

Role : Senior Design Engineer – Exterior Trims (Bumper System, Grill, DRL Convers) Experience : 6 to 8 Years Job Description: · Design and develop Exterior Trims, such as Bumper Systems, Grills, DRL Covers, and exterior Panels, for the automotive industry, ensuring they meet aesthetic, functional, and ergonomic requirements. · Proficiency in CATIA V5 or V6 CAD software to create 3D models and 2D drawings of soft trim components. · Basic Knowledge about Team Center (PLM). · Should have good Knowledge of Automotive Exterior Regulatory requirements for passenger vehicle · Should be able to create the master section, concept & detailing independently. · Should be proficient in GD & T, Gap Plan · Generate technical documentation i.e. DFMEA, DFS, DFM, DFA, DVP · Preparation of SOR & Support for supplier onboarding · Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve design processes and outcomes. · Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to automotive interiors and soft trim Components/materials. · Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate designs and ensure they meet performance specifications. · Drawing Creation with consideration of 3-2-1 principle, car positioning, customer methodology, GD&T etc. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance, to integrate soft trim designs into vehicle platforms. · Research new materials, manufacturing techniques, and industry trends to enhance soft trim designs and reduce costs.
