1. Purpose of the RoleThe Murex Lead plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality technology solutions for NAB's Markets business, with a focus on FX and Commodities product lines. The role leads a multi-disciplinary engineering and functional team supporting the development, enhancement, and stability of the Murex platform across global regions.This role ensures delivery excellence, system reliability, strong stakeholder engagement, and alignment with NAB's strategic priorities, while fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.2. Essential CapabilitiesTechnical ExpertiseMinimum 17+ years of total experience, with extensive hands-on Murex expertiseDeep understanding of:Trade lifecycle across FX and CommoditiesMurex datamodel, workflows, MxML, MxMLExchange, EOD batches, MDRSAPIs, integration patterns, and messaging frameworksTrade lifecycle across FX and CommoditiesMurex datamodel, workflows, MxML, MxMLExchange, EOD batches, MDRSAPIs, integration patterns, and messaging frameworksStrong experience coordinating with vendor teamsTrade lifecycle across FX and CommoditiesMurex datamodel, workflows, MxML, MxMLExchange, EOD batches, MDRSAPIs, integration patterns, and messaging frameworksLeadership & CollaborationAt least 3+ years in a technical/engineering or functional leadership role within Capital MarketsExperience delivering in a global follow-the-sun model, coordinating with Australia and international teamsCommunication & Stakeholder ManagementStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersAbility to influence outcomes across cross-functional teams4. Experience RequirementsProven delivery experience on large-scale Murex upgrade, migration, and regulatory programsBackground in Investment Banking / Markets technology teams, preferable CIB contextSignificant experience interacting with trading desks, risk teams, and operations5. Qualification RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related disciplineCertifications in Capital Markets or Murex modules beneficial (e.g., NCFM certifications)6.
