Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager of Email Deliverability Services to join our team. In this role, you will lead our Email Deliverability Consulting practice, overseeing a team of deliverability consultants while defining and implementing email deliverability strategies for our enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of experience in email deliverability consulting and people management, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and client success. Key Responsibilities: Strategy & Consulting: You will be the in-house expert responsible for monitoring inbox placement, resolving domain/IP reputation issues, and ensuring emails land in inboxes especially in critical markets like the Middle East, Japan, and Southeast Asia. This role sits at the intersection of customer success, product, and Martech teams, and is critical to protecting ROI for our clients. Partner with enterprise clients to design comprehensive email deliverability strategies that drive business outcomes. Stay at the forefront of industry changes, including ISP policies, authentication standards, and compliance regulations Deliverability Issue Resolution: Serve as the ultimate escalation point and subject matter expert for complex deliverability challenges Develop innovative email deliverability methodologies and best practices tailored to client needs Deep expertise in email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). Comprehensive understanding of deliverability monitoring tools and analytics platforms. Proficiency in interpreting deliverability data and transforming insights into actionable strategies Knowledge of email compliance regulations across different markets (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, etc.) Business Growth & Client Success Collaborate with Customer Success teams to identify upsell campaign opportunities and expand service offerings. Drive campaign revenue growth through high-quality deliverability consulting services. Ensure client satisfaction through consistent delivery of measurable improvements in deliverability metrics Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product Management to influence the product roadmap for deliverability features Partner with CS teams to develop thought leadership content showcasing Gateway's expertise Collaborate with Technical Support and Engineering to resolve complex client issues What You’ll Bring 7–10 years of experience in Email Deliverability or related fields (ESP/SMTP operations, MarTech, CpaaS, and Campaign Management) Deep expertise with inboxing across Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc. Deep expertise with social chanels like TikTok, Line, Whatsapp, etc. Experience with ESPs like Twilio, SendGrid, Braze, Sailthru, and other SMS ESPs or similar at scale Strong grasp of email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI), segmentation, warm-up plans, and sender reputation Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Postmaster Tools, SNDS, Validity, ZeroBounce Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, especially in client-facing or high-pressure situations Bonus: Experience managing deliverability in complex geographies like Japan, UAE, or SEA Education : Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, email marketing certifications) are a plus.
