Navigator | Bangalore Navigator is a sourcing and product development office working with international brands and retailers across apparel and home textiles. We manage the complete lifecycle of orders — from vendor sourcing and product development to production, quality management, and shipments. We are looking for an experiencedMerchant Manager / Key Account Managerwho will take ownership of key customer accounts and ensure seamless execution from development through shipment. Role Overview This role combinesaccount management, merchandising leadership, and delivery management . The candidate will ensure customers are serviced well, orders are executed efficiently, and deliveries happen on time while maintaining strong relationships with buyers, vendors, and internal teams. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts Build strong relationships with buyers and ensure high service levels Translate customer requirements into clear execution plans for internal teams and vendors Order Execution & Delivery Oversee the complete order lifecycle from development to shipment Ensureon-time delivery, quality compliance, and first-time-right execution Track production progress and proactively resolve issues Technical Coordination Work closely withfit, technical, and QA teamsto ensure correct fit approvals and product quality Coordinatesize set reviews, pre-production meetings, and quality checkpoints Ensure testing, compliance, and buyer quality standards are met Team Management Lead and mentor the merchandising team handling the account Ensure clear communication, accountability, and coordination across teams Motivate the team to deliver strong execution and service levels Vendor Management Work closely with factories to ensure production timelines and quality standards Develop strong vendor relationships and identify suitable partners for different product categories Product & Technical Knowledge Strong understanding ofknit and woven garment production Knowledge offabric development, garment construction, and costing Familiarity withcompliance requirements, testing standards, and quality protocolsfor international buyers Business Promotion Identify opportunities to grow business with existing customers Support management inbusiness development and new account initiatives Requirements7–12 years experience in apparel merchandising / sourcing Experience handlinginternational buyers or export programs Strong product knowledge acrossknits and wovens Understanding ofcompliance standards and testing requirements Proven ability tolead teams and manage complex production timelines Reporting This role willreport to managementand work closely with leadership to ensure strong customer service, delivery performance, and business growth.
