JOB TITLE:Deputy Manager - Airport Systems LEVEL & GRADE:C1 DIVISION/ DEPARTMENT:PROJECTS – AIRPORT SYSTEM REPORTS TO:HEAD OF AIRPORT SYSTEM DATE:12.01.2026JOB PURPOSE (Provide an overview of the job, its context in the organization and the contribution that it makes)To manage the design, detail design development & engineering, review layouts, drawings in BIM, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Installation, interface and integration, testing & commissioning of Baggage handling system including hold baggage screening, Self-bag drops in major, supports other airport system packages in detail design reviews, installation, interface, testing and commissioning of PBB, VHT, SSCP & VDGS.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (List the responsibilities/ duties associated with the job and the major activities associated with each responsibility. For each responsibility/ duty listed, give the factors on which an individual’s performance is judged)AccountabilitiesReview and comment on Design drawings, system layout, FDS, DDS, /Interface, testing and commissioning documents. Responsible in supervising the installation activities as per the GFC drawings, specifications, and scope as per the contract Interface and integration of sub systems and external host systems are implemented as per the project requirements Ensure the test protocols effectively covers the specification and functional requirements and performances of the system. Schedule and witness the testing as per the protocols Implementation of control system in field Continual Improvements and Suggestions.Major ActivitiesCoordinate with Project managers, industrial best practices for defining the efficient controls architecture. Study the controls layout and equipment to ensure the specifications prepared by consultants are appropriate Coordinate with the system integrator of individual discipline, device test plan protocols, carry out lab tests. Day to day coordination at site for appropriate installation of the system Ensure the defined test regimes are followed. Carry out stage wise testing of the system Participate in ORAT and ensure HOTO is smoothly carried out. Participate in all development and improvement projectsDIMENSIONS (Financial or Non-financial parameters which are directly impacted/controlled by the role or indirectly influences/contributes to in a measurable way)Financial(Eg: Budgets, project costs, capex etc.,)Verify & certify the running bills Ensure any variation claims are thoroughly validatedNon-Financial(Eg: No. of direct/ indirect reports, headcount in projects, no. of clients handled etc.,)To coordinate and work with major Global MNC multiple OEMs Project managers and their team members, EPC representatives, PMC members & consultants.JOB SPECIFICATIONEducation qualification and certifications(Indicate the level of education and certifications required) Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation) Years of Experience(Years of relevant experience required) 5-7 years Computer skills(Indicate the required knowledge on software, applications, hardware etc., that are required) BIM 360, Navisworks, AUTOCAD 2D, AUTOMOD 3D modelling & simulation Microsoft Office Knowledge in PLCs (Siemens S7/1500 series)Knowledge and work skills[Indicate what knowledge (machines, equipment, processes, systems etc.,) and work skills are required] Knowledge in conveying & sortation system, Tilt tray, cross belt, Tray sorting system, Self-Bag drops, Automatic tray retrieval system, Inline security screening, X-ray technologies, Electrical & controls, SCADA, servers & networking, interfacing, testing & commissioning.
