UX Designer, Digital Business

SonyLIV is seeking a smart, driven, and experienced UX Designer to lead end-to-end user experience design across platforms. The incumbent will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling interfaces for consumer-facing digital products, ensuring alignment between user needs and business objectives. The ideal candidate will combine strong design expertise with user research skills, and have a proven track record of delivering impactful design solutions in fast-paced environments. POSITION SPECIFICATION Education – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field. Equivalent training or demonstrable work experience will also be considered. Overall Experience – 6+ years of UX design experience in consumer-facing digital products (OTT, e-commerce, fintech, large-scale apps, or platforms). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES User-Centric Design Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design of interfaces across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Web, Smart TVs). Drive design processes from problem framing and research to final user interactions. User Research & Insights: Conduct and synthesize user research to uncover intent, motivations, and pain points, crafting effective user journeys. Collaborate with research teams to validate designs through usability testing and rapid prototyping. Design Execution & Quality: Deliver high-quality wireframes, flows, prototypes, and interaction specifications with attention to detail and usability. Ensure designs adhere to accessibility standards and best practices. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, researchers, engineers, and content teams to ensure design solutions balance user needs with business goals. Advocate for user-centric design through clear storytelling and rationale in cross-functional forums. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and tools to continuously enhance the product experience. BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on user empathy. Ability to see the big picture while delivering detailed, high-quality design outputs. Excellent prioritization skills in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Passion for creating delightful and meaningful user experiences. Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills to influence and align stakeholders. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc. Strong portfolio showcasing impactful UX design projects. Expertise in user research methodologies, journey mapping, and interaction design. Understanding of responsive design principles and platform-specific guidelines (Android, iOS, Web, TV). Experience in usability testing and rapid prototyping techniques. Why join us?
