Job Title: Decision Scientist (Japanese Speaking) Experience: 2-5 years Location: Bangalore Employment Type: Full-Time Overview Our client – one of the largest data science companies – is seeking to hire a Business Analytics / Data Scientist with proficiency in Japanese to work closely with their stakeholders in Japan. This role is critical in bridging the communication and cultural gap between the IT/analytics teams and business stakeholders , ensuring that insights and solutions are effectively understood, implemented, and adopted. Your Responsibilities Act as a bridge between Japan-based business stakeholders and global analytics/IT teams by effectively communicating requirements, insights, and recommendations in both Japanese and English Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and identify opportunities where data-driven insights can impact decision-making Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement analytics solutions aligned with business goals Document business requirements, analytical findings, and technical solutions in both Japanese and English Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field 2–5 years of experience in business analytics, data science, or consulting roles Strong proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) and professional fluency in English (verbal & written) Hands-on experience with analytical tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL , or equivalent Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in ambiguous, client-facing environments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence stakeholders across cultures Nice-to-Have Skills Prior experience working with Japanese clients or in the Japan market Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data management and analytics Consulting background with experience in consumer, healthcare industry
