TCS Hiring for Snowflake & Postgres AdministrationExperience Range : 08 To 10 years (Mandatory) Job Location : Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Kochi Notice Period: Immediate Joiners (Preferred)JOB DESCRIPTIONKey Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL and Snowflake databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Perform database provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning for both platforms. Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and access control within both Snowflake and PostgreSQL. Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for both environments. Implement and enforce data retention policies and manage data lifecycle within both platforms. Conduct upgrades and apply patches as needed for PostgreSQL, and stay updated with Snowflake releases and features. Manage data storage, loading, transformation, and extraction processes within Snowflake. Work extensively with JSON data in PostgreSQL, including storage, indexing, querying, and transformation. Develop and optimize Dynamic DDL and DML scripts for flexible schema and data operations in PostgreSQL. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and developers to support ETL processes, data pipelines, and reporting needs. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance for both PostgreSQL (queries, indexes, execution plans) and Snowflake (warehouse performance, query optimization). Identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues in both environments. Monitor Snowflake usage and costs, making recommendations for cost optimization. Implement and maintain database security policies, including role-based access control (RBAC) in both platforms. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database architecture with business requirements. Provide technical support and training to end users on effective database usage. Document processes, configurations, database standards, and architectural decisions.Required Skills:Proven experience as a Database Administrator with strong expertise in both PostgreSQL and Snowflake. In-depth knowledge of Snowflake administration, including upgrades, maintenance, performance tuning, and cost optimization. Strong expertise in PostgreSQL administration, including dynamic DDL/DML, JSON data handling, and performance tuning. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages. Experience with data pipelines, ETL tools, and data integration. Must have AWS certification Understanding of data governance, security principles, and compliance regulations. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Minimum Qualification: 15 years of full-time education
