Senior Tax Associate

Weaver is looking for talented Tax professionals at the Senior Associate level to join our Fixed Asset Advisory practice! This is a growing practice with room for growth and career development. The successful candidate will help our clients with: Cost segregation Tangible Property (Repair) Regulations Fixed asset reviews 179D and 45L green construction deductions and credits R&D credit studies A Weaver Senior Associate is a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare cost segregation, fixed assets reviews and tax valuation for new and acquired buildings, industrial projects, renovations, and expansions. Assist in developing benefit estimates, interacting with clients and scheduling associated project deliverables. Prepare R&D and Rehab tax credit studies. Assist team in preparing presentations for proposals, drafting SOWs, planning strategies, and ideas. Respond to client requests and correspond with clients to meet engagement goals and deliverables. Demonstrate ability to understand the IRs code, regulations, and pronouncements for various tax issues; training provided. Prepare schedules and deliverables for management review. Education and Skills Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or construction technology 2-5 years of public accounting experience, industry experience, or a combination of both 1 year of experience in cost segregation Excellent written and verbal communications skills Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills Proficient with Excel and Bluebeam or a similar software Experience estimating with RS Means and CoreLogic MVS Experience with Sage, Bloomberg/BNA Tax or CCH is a plus
