Role OverviewYou will lead end-to-end medical writing and content submission operations, ensuring all deliverables are scientifically accurate, compliant with brand and AMA guidelines, and delivered on time. The role combines scientific leadership, people management, and operational oversight, including MLR readiness and quality governance.Key ResponsibilitiesContent & Scientific LeadershipOversee development and review of scientific and medical content (manuscripts, abstracts, slide decks, posters, digital assets)Interpret clinical data and translate it into clear, audience-appropriate communicationEnsure adherence to AMA style, brand guidelines, and regulatory standardsConduct rigorous QC, proofreading, and fact-checkingMLR & ComplianceOversee and support MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) submissions for content deliverablesEnsure compliance with internal SOPs and external regulatory requirementsMaintain audit-ready documentation and review traceabilityWork with platforms such as Veeva Vault (preferred)Team & Delivery ManagementManage and mentor writers across levels, driving capability building and career developmentAllocate resources and balance workload across accounts/programsOversee multiple deliverables across brands, therapy areas, or portfoliosDrive quality governance, review oversight, and process improvementsStakeholder & Client EngagementPartner with medical experts, clients, and cross-functional teamsLead scientific discussions, reviewer meetings, and alignment callsHandle escalations related to content interpretation, review feedback, or scope changesContribute to proposals and new business opportunitiesResearch & Continuous ImprovementConduct literature searches and evidence gathering (e.g., PubMed)Stay updated on therapeutic area trends and publication practicesStrengthen templates, workflows, and quality checkpointsCandidate ProfileMaster’s degree in Life Sciences / Pharmacy / Medicine or related field8–12 years of experience in medical writing / publications / healthcare communicationsProven experience in leading accounts, portfolios, or publication programsStrong understanding of scientific communication, publication ethics, and content workflowsExperience in team leadership, resource planning, and stakeholder managementFamiliarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, EndNote, PubMed, and Veeva Vault (preferred)Certifications such as CMPP / AMWA are a plus
