Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Devops Engineer at TELUS Digital in Noida. The role involves managing day-to-day support activities, coordinating with development teams, resolving technical issues, and ensuring smooth operations. Some remote work is acceptable for this position. Job Summary:Lead technical operations for cloud-native applications on AWS, including EC2 and EKS Troubleshoot complex, multi-tier Java applications and infrastructure issues Perform advanced log analysis using Splunk and develop custom queries Monitor and optimize application performance using APM tools (Datadog,AppDynamics, DynaTrace, or New Relic) Document application dataflows and architecture for operational transparency Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning Collaborate with development teams to build, deploy, and support application packages on VMs and Kubernetes Lead the migration of CI/CD pipelines from Cloudbees to GitHub, ensuring seamless integration and improved workflow efficiency. Design and implement automated test cases for both lower-level and production environments to ensure consistent quality and early defect detection. Develop and maintain robust sanity and smoke testing suites to validate core functionality and system stability during deployments.Required Skills & Experience Cloud & Infrastructure 10+ years in System Administration, DevOps, or Architecture roles within large-scale IT environments Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS) and certified at AWS Cloud Practitioner level or higher Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Experience migrating workloads from on-premises to AWSApplication & DevOps Advanced support for Java applications, including thread/heap analysis Deep knowledge of application-to-database interactions (Oracle, MongoDB,JDBC) Proficient in GitLab CI/CD, Cloudbees, and GitHub Skilled in scripting with Python, Bash, or Groovy Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm (preferably on EKS) Experience with Istio service mesh is a plusMonitoring & Testing Strong log analysis skills using Splunk Proficient with APM tools like Datadog, AppDynamics, or New Relic Hands-on experience with JMeter, Selenium, and UI Automation Testing Solid understanding of API Testing, Sanity Testing, and Test Automation Ability to write automated test cases in Java or PythonSoft Skills & Leadership Excellent verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset Self-driven, curious, and committed to continuous improvement
