VP Ops – EXC Managed Services Location: Gurgaon, Haryana, India (On-site) Reports to: Board Time: 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM (5 Days Working ) Location: Gurgaon, Haryana, India (On-site)Role overview EXC Managed Services is the execution engine for ElevenX Capital and its portfolio, embedding India-based teams to run finance, HR, legal, compliance, IT, and related operations for global, venture-backed companies. The VP OPs will own day-to-day delivery and scale-up of these managed services, building audit-ready, investment-grade operations that support multi-country expansion for portfolio clients. The role requires a hands-on operator who has built and scaled operations in fast-growth, tech-led environments, with strong exposure to global clients (US/UK/MENA) and cross-border compliance. The VP Ops acts as second-in-command to the President / COO / CEO, translating growth strategy into on-the-ground execution, metrics, and culture across EXC’s service lines. Key responsibilities Leadership & culture Lead EXC’s India-based operations within the strategic and governance parameters set by the CEO and ElevenX Capital board. Build, mentor, and retain a high-performance leadership bench across Finance & Accounting, HR, Talent Acquisition, Legal & Compliance, IT, and Shared Services. Create an execution-first culture that emphasizes ownership, transparency, speed, and ethical practices, while maintaining a collaborative, open communication environment. Operational execution & service delivery Own day-to-day delivery for EXC’s managed services portfolio, ensuring SLAs, quality benchmarks, and client satisfaction targets (99%+ CSAT) are consistently achieved. Design, improve, and scale operational systems, processes, and policies to support global expansion, including standardized playbooks across finance, HR, payroll, compliance, and legal workflows. Ensure smooth coordination among support functions (HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Talent) and frontline client teams, with clear RACI, KPIs, and escalation paths. Cross-border compliance & controls Establish and maintain audit-ready processes across India and US entities, covering statutory filings, payroll, tax, labor law, and regulatory compliance. Partner with external legal, tax, and accounting advisors as needed while ensuring EXC remains the central execution and project management layer. Implement robust internal controls, risk registers, and compliance calendars, and provide regular updates to leadership and investors. Financial management & P&L ownership Own P&L for EXC Managed Services, including budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and margin improvement at company and service-line level. Implement tools and dashboards to track utilization, capacity, pipeline, and client-level unit economics to support data-driven decision making and pricing. Present monthly and quarterly performance updates, operational forecasts, and key risks to the CEO and ElevenX leadership. Client & portfolio engagement Work closely with ElevenX partners, portfolio founders, CFOs, and COOs to design and implement operating models that support their India and multi-country expansion. Ensure EXC teams embed effectively into portfolio operations, acting as a trusted extension of their finance, HR, and compliance functions rather than as a traditional outsourcing vendor. Drive continuous improvement and expansion of services within existing portfolio relationships, identifying opportunities for new offerings and deeper engagement. Organization building & scale Build and scale teams from early stage to a mature, process-driven organization, including hiring, training, and succession planning across levels. Implement OKRs and performance management systems that align team goals with EXC’s growth, quality, and profitability metrics. Lead or sponsor strategic internal initiatives such as new service-line launches, technology platform upgrades, and automation/AI adoption within operations. Candidate profile Experience & background 12–18 years of total experience with at least 8–10 years in senior operations leadership roles (Director / VP / Head of Operations / COO) in fast-scaling environments. Strong exposure to global clients (especially US) in one or more of: managed services, BPO/KPO, shared services, captive centers, or tech-enabled operations. Proven track record in building or scaling multi-functional operations (Finance, HR, Talent, Compliance, IT) for tech, SaaS, fintech, or similar portfolio-backed companies. Demonstrated experience owning P&L, driving operational efficiency, and delivering against aggressive growth and profitability targets. Skills & competencies Strong operator with a builder mindset: able to move from strategy and operating model design down to day-to-day execution and firefighting when required. Excellent people leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills; able to work with founders, investors, and cross-functional internal teams. High analytical rigor and comfort with metrics, dashboards, and systems; strong business systems and technology orientation (ERP, HRIS, accounting tools, workflow platforms). Strong problem-solving, structured thinking, and judgment under ambiguity; able to operate in a venture/portfolio environment with evolving needs and priorities. Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal, suitable for C-level and global stakeholder interactions. Education Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field preferred.
