Process Automation Specialist We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Process Automation Specialist. Design and implement control systems for industrial processes using PLC, SCADA, DCS, or RTU systems. Develop control strategies and algorithms for process automation, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Select instrumentation for process control systems, taking into account factors such as precision, reliability, and ease of use. Create detailed diagrams of control system designs, including P&ID and Functional Design Specifications. Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Perform routine and corrective maintenance on control systems, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. Implement process automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and safety, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve results. Integrate new technologies to improve process control, staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements. Analyze existing systems and identify areas for automation improvements, providing recommendations for optimization. Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system malfunctions, using problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently. Conduct regular preventive maintenance on instruments and control systems, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Coordinate with operations teams to resolve system failures, communicating effectively to ensure swift resolution. Lead or support instrumentation and control-related projects, utilizing project management skills to deliver results on time and within budget. Maintain accurate documentation related to system designs and test results, providing valuable insights for future projects. Prepare detailed reports on system performance and project progress, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations, prioritizing employee safety and well-being. Collaborate with safety engineers to conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Guarantee the integrity and security of control systems and instrumentation, protecting against cyber threats and unauthorized access. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems, fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork. Provide training to operational staff on the use and maintenance of control systems, enhancing their skills and knowledge. Mentor junior engineers and technicians, sharing expertise and experience to aid in their development. Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems. Strong knowledge of control system design principles and practices, with a focus on process automation. Experience working with PLC, SCADA, DCS, or RTU systems, with a proven track record of success. Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, fostering a positive and productive team environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
