K&K Talentsis an international recruiting agency that has been providing technical resources globallysince 1993.This position is with one of ourclients in India , who is actively hiring candidates to expand their teams.Title: APIGEE Platform Engineer Location: PAN India Employment Type: Full-time PermanentRole: We are seeking a skilled APIGEE Platform Engineer with strong expertise in APIGEE runtime deployment, APIGEE Hybrid platform management, and cloud-native infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying and managing APIGEE Hybrid runtime on Kubernetes clusters, automating infrastructure with Terraform, and managing Kubernetes applications using Helm charts. Proficiency in scripting with Bash/Shell and Python, along with solid Google Cloud Platform (GCP) knowledge, is essential.Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage APIGEE Hybrid runtime plane on Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, or on-prem Kubernetes). Perform installation, upgrades, patching, and maintenance of APIGEE Hybrid and APIGEE X environments. Manage APIGEE runtime components including Message Processors, Synchronizers, and Cassandra clusters within Kubernetes. Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform and Helm charts. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash/Shell and Python to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks. Collaborate with API teams to support API proxy deployments, troubleshoot runtime issues, and optimize platform performance. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for APIGEE platform deployments and API lifecycle management. Monitor platform health, capacity planning, and perform troubleshooting for runtime and infrastructure issues. Work closely with network, security, and cloud teams to configure secure and compliant environments. Support multi-cloud and hybrid cloud deployment strategies, ensuring seamless integration and governance. Document platform architecture, operational procedures, and automation workflows.Required Skills & Experience: APIGEE Expertise: Strong experience with APIGEE Hybrid platform deployment and runtime management. Familiarity with APIGEE X and API management concepts (OAuth, JWT, API keys, SSL/TLS). Experience with API proxy development, debugging, and policy implementation.Kubernetes & Containerization: Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, or on-prem). Proficient in deploying and managing containerized applications using Helm charts. Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, and service mesh is a plus.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive experience with Terraform for provisioning cloud and Kubernetes resources. Experience using the Terraform Helm provider to deploy applications on Kubernetes.Scripting & Automation: Strong skills in Bash/Shell scripting and Python for automation and operational tasks. Experience developing automation pipelines for deployment and monitoring.Cloud Platform Experience: Solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM). Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments is a plus.DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build). Experience integrating APIGEE deployments into automated pipelines.Networking & Security: Understanding of network security, firewall rules, VPNs, and cloud security best practices. Knowledge of API security standards and compliance requirements.
