F5 SMESalary range within 16 LPAKey Responsibilities – F5 Architecture & EngineeringDesign, deploy, and maintain F5 BIG-IP solutions utilizing LTM, APM, and ASM modules.Architect high-availability load-balancing solutions, including active/standby.Develop and optimize iRules/iApps to enhance traffic management, security, and custom application workflows.Implement SSL offloading, SSL bridging, certificate management, and TLS security best practices.Traffic Management & Performance OptimizationConfigure advanced load-balancing features, health monitors, persistence profiles, SNAT/PAT, and traffic shaping.Optimize application delivery for performance, reliability, and scalability.Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and system optimization.Access Control & Authentication (APM)Design and maintain APM policies including SSO, MFA, SAML, OAuth, and LDAP/AD integrations.Implement Zero Trust remote access solutions, VPN customization, and secure identity-based access workflows.Troubleshoot authentication, policy evaluation, and session-related issues.Application Security (ASM)Implement and manage WAF policies, attack signatures, bot protection, and L7 security features.Perform application onboarding, policy tuning, false-positive analysis, and threat mitigation.Integrate ASM with SIEM/SOC workflows and security incident response processes.Operations, Troubleshooting & SupportProvide L3 support for complex F5 and application delivery issues.Perform root-cause analysis for traffic, performance, security, and connectivity problems.Support change management, patching, upgrades, and proactive health assessments.Maintain documentation, runbooks, configuration baselines, and DR/BCP strategies.Required Skills & Experience10+ years of experience in F5 BIG-IP (LTM/APM/ASM) engineering, deployment, and operations.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS, VPN, routing, switching, VLANs, and firewall concepts.Hands-on experience with iRules (TCL).In-depth understanding of application architectures: web, API, microservices, cloud/hybrid.Experience integrating F5 with identity solutions (ADFS, Azure AD, Okta, Ping, etc.).Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, NIST, Zero Trust, and PCI.Preferred QualificationsF5 CertificationsF5-CA (BIG-IP Administrator)F5-CTS (LTM/APM/ASM Specialist)F5-CE is a plusSoft SkillsExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.Strong documentation and communication abilities.Ability to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Strong focus on security, reliability, and operational exce
