Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilledSenior QA Engineerwith strong expertise in bothmanual and automation testing . The ideal candidate should have deep experience in building scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and mentoring junior team members. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to design and implement effective test strategies. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks usingSelenium WebDriverandBDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) . Perform bothmanual and automated testingto ensure product quality across web, API, and integration layers. Writefeature files with clear, business-oriented scenariosand maintain reusable step definitions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure test coverage. Implement and maintainPage Object Model (POM)for scalable and maintainable automation. Build and extendcore framework utilitiessuch as wrappers, waits, retry mechanisms, and driver handling. Ensureclean code practicesin test automation frameworks (SOLID principles, OOP concepts). Identify, document, and track defects, providing detailed root cause analysis. Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to overall process improvements.Required Skills & ExpertiseCore QA Automation Skills Selenium WebDriver (Advanced): Deep knowledge of WebDriver APIs, custom waits, element handling.Handl ing synchronization issues, stale elements, and workarounds. 2.BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin): Writing business-readable feature files. Mapping steps correctly to ensure reusability and modularity. 3.Java (or framework language): Strong OOP concepts (inheritance, abstraction, polymorphism). Clean code practices with SOLID principles. Exception handling and custom exception creation. Framework & Layer-Specific Skills Step Definitions: Desig ning high-level steps without mixing UI locator logic.Ensur ing modularity and reusability.Page Object Model (POM):Stron g understanding of POM & Page Factory.Writi ng maintainable locators and encapsulating UI interactions.Handl ing dynamic elements and reusable components.Core Framework (Wrappers, Waiters, Driver handling):Build ing wrapper methods around Selenium APIs.Imple menting custom waits, retry mechanisms, and driver utilities.Exten ding WebDriver with custom elements where needed. Additional Skills Hands-on experience with manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, UAT). Experience in API testing using Postman/RestAssured. Strong understanding of test planning, test design, and defect management. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2+ years in automation testing. Proven experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
