Drafting Engineer (2D – Food Factory Design)

FoodCognics India Pvt. Ltd. is a specialized food consultancy firm supporting clients in the design and development of world-class food processing factories. As part of our growing technical team, we are looking for a Drafting Engineer (2D) who can translate engineering concepts into accurate, high-quality drawings. If you have experience in food factories, process plants, or industrial facilities and enjoy working on technically challenging projects, we’d be happy to connect with you.Key Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings, layouts, and schematics for food processing facilities • Develop P&IDs, piping layouts, equipment layouts, utility layouts, and coordination drawings • Prepare electrical, civil, and structural layout drawings in coordination with respective disciplines • Ensure drawings comply with hygienic design principles, food safety standards, and project specifications • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, civil, and process engineers for drawing accuracy and clash resolution • Revise and update drawings based on client feedback and project changes • Maintain organized drawing records, revision histories, and documentation • Support project teams during design reviews, approvals, and execution stagesRequirements: • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering • 2–5 years of relevant drafting experience in industrial projects • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D • Experience in food factories, FMCG plants, dairy, beverage, or process plants is a strong advantage • Basic understanding of equipment layouts, piping systems, utilities, and plant workflow • Knowledge of food industry norms, GMP, hygienic design, and safety standards preferred • Good attention to detail and ability to meet project timelines • Strong communication and coordination skillsWhat We Offer: • Opportunity to work on international-standard food factory projects • Exposure to end-to-end food plant design and consulting • Collaborative and technically driven work environment • Career growth with a specialized food consultancy firmLocation: FoodCognics India Pvt.
